Ross Video

How is Ross Video deepening its commitment to the Indian market, and what key initiatives are planned for the SAARC region?
We are deepening our commitment to the region by expanding our local team, with several strategic hires currently underway. In addition, we’re excited to be establishing a new office in Delhi in the new year, a significant step toward strengthening our on-the-ground presence. This local investment enables us to provide more responsive support, foster closer customer relationships, and bring Ross’s global innovation closer to our partners in the SAARC region. From building regional expertise to delivering tailored training and solutions, our approach reflects a long-term vision: to empower content creators across South Asia with the tools, technology, and support they need to lead the next generation of live production.

Which verticals are currently driving Ross Video’s growth in India—the broadcast sector, sports, corporate AV, or government?
India’s growth story for Ross is truly multi-vertical. We’re seeing strong momentum in traditional broadcasting and news, as well as increasing adoption in sports, corporate AV, and even government initiatives. From live sports automation to dynamic studio graphics, Indian content creators are embracing scalable tools that balance cost-efficiency with creative power. It’s not about choosing one vertical; it’s about enabling all of them with unified, future-ready production.

What new technologies or solutions is Ross Video introducing at Broadcast India 2025? Can you highlight flagship products like Ultrix, Carbonite HyperMax, and robotic camera systems?
This year at Broadcast India, visitors can experience Carbonite HyperMax, our most versatile production platform ever and our Ultrix media processing platform, which brings incredible efficiency and scalability to hybrid environments. And for live sports and studio automation, our Furio rail-based robotic camera system with AI-powered tracking delivers cinematic precision. It’s a full-stack ecosystem designed for Indian production realities from compact spaces to full-scale studios.

How does Ross Video’s hyperconverged platform help broadcasters streamline workflows, and what benefits does it bring for hybrid SDI/IP environments?
Our hyperconverged approach simplifies complexity. By bringing switching, routing, processing, and multiviewing into one platform, like Ultrix with Carbonite HyperMax, we help broadcasters do more with less. Especially in India, where many teams are operating hybrid SDI/IP workflows, our solutions reduce hardware footprints, cut power costs, and give producers agility to scale or pivot without reengineering their infrastructure.
Could you discuss the integration of NDI and cloud workflows via products such as Carbonite Code and their relevance for Indian broadcasters?

Our solutions like Carbonite Code and Ultricore NDI control allow Indian broadcasters to integrate NDI sources and move to cloud-native or hybrid models on their terms. Whether it’s for remote events, sports replay, or newsroom content, we make the cloud flexible, affordable, and reliable. In India, where bandwidth and connectivity vary, that kind of control matters.

What role does AI or automation play in Ross’s current and future solutions for live production?
AI and automation are central to where Ross is going. From AI-powered camera tracking in our robotic systems to automated production control in OverDrive and audio mix automation with LAMA, we’re building tools that reduce operational burden while boosting precision.

How are your products—such as XPression and PIERO—empowering Indian newsrooms and sports broadcasters to enhance viewer engagement?
India’s passion for sports, especially cricket, demands fast, visually compelling storytelling. With XPression, broadcasters deliver real-time, data-rich graphics for news and live sports. PIERO adds powerful sports analysis with AR, telestration, and virtual replays. Together, they help Indian broadcasters elevate viewer engagement with speed, insight, and creative freedom.

What solutions does Ross Video offer to sports and live entertainment producers, particularly for fan engagement and virtual production?
From Artimo to spidercam to Vertex immersive AV experiences, we’re redefining how fans connect with content. Whether it’s flying over a cricket pitch, or creating augmented stadium experiences, Ross offers a toolkit for producers who want to blend live, virtual, and interactive in unforgettable ways.

How is the Furio rail-based robotic system and AI-powered tracking affecting live sports production workflows in India?
Furio is built for consistency and cinematic movement two things live sports demand. In India, where precision must meet speed, our AI-enhanced robotics allow smaller crews to produce big-stage experiences. Whether it’s cricket, kabaddi, or esports, Furio delivers repeatable, professional shots that keep up with the game and elevate storytelling.

10. How is Ross Video supporting customer adoption, including training or technical support bots, for Indian clients deploying new technology?
We provide localised training and 24/7 access to our global technical services team ensuring customers in India always have expert support at their fingertips. With tools like the Ross Bot, our AI-powered technical assistant, customers can quickly troubleshoot issues, access documentation, and get guidance in real time. Backed by a customer-first philosophy, we’re here not just to deliver technology, but to empower successful adoption every step of the way.

Could you share examples of successful Indian projects or customer case studies that illustrate Ross Video’s market impact?
While we’re always respectful of customer confidentiality, I can say with confidence that major newsrooms, leading sports broadcasters, and AV producers across India are scaling faster and more efficiently with Ross. Broadcast India 2025 is a chance for us to showcase that impact side by side with our customers.

What trends are you observing in India’s broadcast landscape, such as the adoption of cloud production or AR studios?
We’re seeing an exciting convergence: Indian broadcasters are embracing cloud workflows, experimenting with AR/VR sets, and pushing hard into remote and virtualised production. There’s growing appetite for flexibility, scalability, and storytelling tools that travel across platforms. The challenge is to make it all work seamlessly. That’s where Ross comes in.

How does Ross Video plan to address bandwidth and cloud adoption challenges in India’s media ecosystem?
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our cloud solutions are built to be hybrid, modular, and bandwidth-conscious. Whether it’s remote NDI control, cloud ingest, or compressed video over IP, we give Indian teams the tools to adapt without overextending their infrastructure. It’s cloud, on your terms.
