Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is in the final stages of financial evaluation and plans to issue APOS within the next four weeks to Telecommunications Consultants India Limited and Pratap Technocrats Private Limited for the remaining four BharatNet Phase‑3 packages, aiming to complete the BharatNet initiative in the next three years and thereby eliminate India’s digital divide by 2028.
Under BharatNet 3, TCIL has emerged as the lowest bidder for the NER‑1 package covering Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya with a contract value of about ₹767.97 crore, while PTPL has quoted the lowest bids for Rajasthan, Haryana and Assam at approximately ₹2,839.25 crore, ₹836.78 crore and ₹831.61 crore respectively, after earlier rounds were scrapped due to techno‑legal issues.
