Ross Production services locks in Clear-Com for live, remote & hybrid shows
Ross Production Services has moved to a unified Clear-Com communications backbone across its production trucks, flypacks and headquarters facilities, tightening talkback workflows for a wide mix of live events and remote shows.
The new intercom architecture centers on Eclipse digital matrices paired with IrisX panels, FreeSpeak wireless beltpacks, LQ IP interfaces and Agent-IC mobile clients, giving engineers and crew a single, coherent ecosystem whether they’re working in a 4K HDR truck, a control room, or from home. Clear-Com systems are closely tied into Ross Ultrix routing, allowing RPS to coordinate audio, video and intercom paths as one integrated environment.
For hybrid and fully remote productions, RPS uses its Production Cloud to extend Clear-Com connectivity beyond the facility, letting operators access panels and multiview feeds with latency low enough for natural, real-time conversations. Configuration tools such as EHX with Go LIVE and Supervisor Mode help intercom engineers push changes on the fly and monitor user experience, supporting the fast turnaround and complex crew structures that define modern sports, entertainment and corporate broadcasts.
Clear-Com’s intercom portfolio, already supported by a network of Indian distributors and systems integrators for broadcast, film and live events, offers a practical model for building unified communication backbones in the region.
