LiveU to showcase Q-era innovations at IBC2026

LiveU will present its evolving Q Era, centered on AI-driven connectivity intelligence within a modular, open IP-video ecosystem at IBC2026 (Stand 7.C24). Designed to streamline live production, the platform supports workflows across news, sports, entertainment, and live events.

With more than 1,500 units currently supporting coverage of the World Football Championship across 16 host cities, LiveU also marks 20 years in live broadcasting.

LU900Q: Intelligent production in the field. The LU900Q Intelligent Production Unit, already deployed at major global events including the Winter Games in Italy, will be a key highlight. Built around LiveU IQ (LIQ), it uses AI-driven connectivity and automated network selection to optimize performance in real time, particularly in challenging conditions.

Designed for multi-camera production, the LU900Q integrates LIQ connectivity, eSIM support, 5G modems, and a MIMO antenna array. It supports SDI, HDMI, USB, and IP inputs, and delivers HD/4K transmission with 10-bit HDR 4:2:2 encoding, up to 32 audio channels, dual video return, intercom, and wireless file transfer.

Sony collaboration and workflow integration. LiveU will also highlight its collaboration with Sony, including the European showcase of the LiveU TX1, a compact camera-mounted unit for fast, bonded file transfer. The Sony RXS Connection License will also be demonstrated, enabling direct file transfer from compatible Sony cameras via LiveU field units such as the LU300S.

Expanding ecosystem and partnerships. LiveU’s open ecosystem continues to expand across contribution, production, ingest, orchestration, and distribution. New partner Cuez adds cloud-based newsroom and rundown management capabilities.

The company is also contributing to the EBU’s MXL shared-memory architecture, aimed at reducing latency by enabling multiple applications to access the same video frame simultaneously.

Digital-first production tools. LiveU Nexus serves as a universal IP gateway, supporting protocols such as LRT, SRT, and RTMP while integrating sources from platforms like Zoom, Teams, and YouTube.

LiveU Studio, a cloud-native production service, enables switching, audio mixing, graphics, and multi-format output from a single workflow.

Automation and monitoring. LiveU Ingest introduces a unified, story-centric workflow for live and file-based content, covering planning, ingest, and distribution with reduced manual intervention.

Actus Digital will present Actus X, a browser-based platform combining compliance logging, multiviewing, monitoring, and AI-powered media analysis, offering real-time visibility across broadcast operations.
