Prasar Bharati launches AI upskilling programme for Doordarshan and AIR staff

Prasar Bharati has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) training programme for its officials as part of its efforts to integrate AI across newsroom, broadcasting and administrative functions.

The initiative is designed to build AI capabilities among employees and enable them to use AI tools to improve productivity, streamline workflows and enhance decision-making across editorial and operational functions.

The training programme covers AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, responsible AI usage, newsroom automation and practical applications of AI in content creation, production and broadcasting. It also focuses on familiarising participants with AI-powered tools that can support editorial workflows while encouraging the responsible adoption of the technology.

The initiative is being rolled out for officials across Doordarshan and All India Radio (AIR) as part of Prasar Bharati’s broader digital transformation efforts. The programme aims to equip editorial, technical and administrative teams with the skills required to effectively integrate AI into their day-to-day operations.

The AI training drive is part of Prasar Bharati’s ongoing efforts to modernise its broadcast ecosystem by building AI readiness across the organisation and supporting more efficient newsroom and broadcast operations. BW Marketing World
