Singapore’s largest content creator and national media network, Mediacorp, has once again chosen various TVU solutions to broadcast the 2023 Southeast Asian Games across its suite of TV channels, radio stations and digital platforms. The 32nd Southeast Asian Games kicked off in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, on May 5, 2023, which attracted more than 7,000 athletes from 11 countries within the region to compete for 5,151 medals in 37 competitive events. Mediacorp’s coverage of the 32nd SEA Games follows its recent multi-platform offerings of major sporting events as part of its commitment to rally audiences behind Team Singapore.
Based on the network’s experience in prior SEA Games, it turned to TVU Remote Commentator for the remote production required in their workflow. In addition to the remote commentary setup similar to the prior SEA Games, Mediacorp expanded TVU’s role to include the collection and feedback of live scenes – using the TVU One cellular mobile transmitter and TVU Anywhere live streaming app.
