Advanced technologies, world-class broadcasting in BPL 2024

Complaints about broadcasting in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) are quite old. BPL has lagged behind other franchise leagues due to lack of use of modern technology, a lack of reviews, shortage of good players. However, this time BCB has focused on world-class broadcasting with the use of modern technology.

Complaints about broadcast quality and graphics in BPL are quite old. But those complaints are coming to an end this time. As a result, this year’s BPL will become more interesting due to better quality of broadcasting. Out of a total of 34 to 36 cameras, 18 will be in the hands of operators or cues. The remaining 16 will be automatic. Video quality will be a minimum of 4K resolution. There is a zoom lens that will have 12 times or 24 or even 90 times.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is bringing new conditions for broadcasters in this year’s BPL. To ensure world-class broadcasting, the condition has been added that the broadcasting organization should have experience in tournaments like IPL, Big Bash, or ICC tournaments. 34 to 36 modern cameras will be used in the broadcast.

Conditions have been given about the graphics as well. Graphics should be of Asia Cup or World Cup standard. The production company has to give the best quality assurance. BCB will have to pay Tk 2 crore for that. BCB can cancel the contract of the production company at any time.

Sophisticated audio mixer or video mixer is available. Aesthetic use of graphics will include the presence of hill plotters, target air, wasps and drones. Graphics quality similar to international standard events like ACC or ICC. The state-of-the-art studio will be equipped with modern lights, reflecting chairs, PGM monitors.

The engineer crew will consist of experienced producers, cameramen and editors with ten years of live sports management experience. There is a touch of modernity in the third umpire and commentary. There are also ring bells and LED stumps in the field.

There will be strict surveillance by BCB in all cases. So this time the fans are going to get world class broadcast in BPL which can be said for sure.

Note that this year’s BPL is scheduled to start on January 19. Which will last more than a month. As usual, this year’s event will be held in three venues. The final of the seven-team tournament will be held on March 1. BDCricTime
