Warner Bros Discovery appoints EssenceMediacom in Australia
Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) has appointed media agency EssenceMediacom to help launch streaming service Max into the Australian market this year, following a competitive pitch.
EssenceMediacom, will drive all aspects of media for the launch which is slated for the first half of the year and will feature premium content from HBO, Warner Bros, Harry Potter, Discovery, the DC Universe, Animal Planet and more.
The agency will run media strategy, planning, implementation and measurement in addition to supporting WBD’s in-house team across biddable channels.
“When Max arrives in Australia, it will be home to some of the world’s best and most loved content,” said WBD’s senior director of marketing Australia, Sasha Mackie.
The global streaming service, launched in the US in 2020 followed by Europe in May last year and was deployed through South-East Asia in that last quarter of 2024. C21Media
