According to recent data released by TAM media research’s subdivision AdEx India , Hindi GEC tops with 24 per cent share of GEC genre’s ad volumes in H1 FY22 and 50 per cent indexed growth was observed.
May’22 saw the highest ad volume share of 17.4% during the period of Jan-Jun’22.
Prime time was the most preferred time band for advertising, followed by afternoon and morning.
Hindi being the consistent topper of other sub-genres, accounted for 24% of the total ads.
The top five GEC sub-genres, namely Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali, accounted for 65% share of ad volumes during the first half of 2022. BCS Bureau
