Channel 5, Comedy Central UK Content Added To BritBox Service

UK broadcaster ITV has announced a deal with Viacom-owned Channel 5 and Comedy Central to add their content to the new BritBox service from launch.

The deal will make factual and entertainment content from Channel 5, as well as original British comedies from Comedy Central UK, available to BritBox subscribers. The Channel 5 boxsets will appear on BritBox after a 30-day catch-up window on the My5 service.

BritBox remains in talks with other partners to provide content and distribute the service to viewers, with more announcements expected in the coming months. The service will cost GBP 5.99 per month and be available in HD across multiple screens and devices.―Telecompaper
