Radio FM Division of Easten Media Ltd. works on frequency of 104 FM and is branded as Radio Choklate in Orissa being No.1 FM station round the clock transmission since three years covering 15 districts of Orissa and five districts partially tuned to 1.5 crore listeners in Orissa out of 30 districts. Having two station like Cuttuck and Rourkela transmitter site where big giant broadcasters like Red FM 93.5 and Big FM exists.

Our reason for success is our technical back ground of digital transmission starting from audio input to RF output on air medium. To fulfill our main goal people should be tuned to us round the clock so, we set our input like audio voice of RJ and telephonic conversation; online transmission; interaction with public grievances and awareness; and input of music contents like CD, DVD media to set our database to tune correct frequency.

After that STL like encoder and decoder purpose we use codec like Moseley, Apt and Eagle codecs starting 576 kbps to 2048 kbps like link BSNL OFC equipped and Microtik Radio link speed of 2.4 GHz. The input of codec are fully digital amplified by digital distribution amplifier and analog distribution amplifier like Senon with audio routers like Network Vinkings digitally synchronization.

On the other hand, transmitter site like decoders are also set to the parameters to accept the data without any loss having 550 kms. distance from studio complex like Bhubaneswar to Rourkela. We have transmitter like Rhode & Scwartz of 05 KW transmission purpose of forwarding power. Processor like Omnia and monitoring purpose mod monitor to get the correct sampling, modulation and carrier to process the input correctly to 
transmitter

As FM industry grows faster the technically skilled people we find are rare to have adequate proficiency to handshake equipment properly. As we find the vendors only know to sell their products not product quality which makes customer to purchase again. The reason is lack of technical caliber to show correctly the best performance of the equipment. The equipment we have is alike to other broadcasters still we are number one in Orissa. The technical person should have sound knowledge   from audio input to RF output on air antenna to lead to tune to ear round the clock.

Common transmission infrastructure (CTI) is meant for transmission on air trough the infrastructure provided by Ministry of I & B. Basically the different frequency like 104 FM,92.7 FM, 93.5 FM are combined into low band combiner three different & mounted through cable to antenna for transmission purpose. The entire infrastructure is provided by Ministry of I & B and also monitored by their staff frequently.
