Broadcast companies worldwide have chosen Barco's visualization solutions for their monitoring and studio needs. Be it for TV shows or news studios, broadcast or distribution monitoring rooms, screening or post-production environments, broadcast and telecom professionals know that Barco offers technology they can trust.
High-Definition reference monitors. Barco's high definition reference monitors offer an ideal solution for studio professionals who are performing color-critical work on a daily basis. Barco applies its long-standing expertise in color-critical display technology to offer the first true grade-1 LCD display with this level of color accuracy, image stability and motion handling. In the field it is a reliable replacement for CRT technology. Brussels-based post-production company ACE digital house has covered an impressive track record, with high-quality services to Belgium's major producers of commercials, video clips and movies. In-house color specialists Joost Van Kerckhove and Christophe Lorenz have been color-grading eye-catching commercials, music promos and films over the past years. A reference monitor is their indispensable companion in offering their customers high-quality and color-accurate images. Color grader Joost Van Kerckhove is excited about Barco's RHDM-2301.Finally Barco has an LCD that is reliable and capable of replacing the CRT. Now Barco are really ready to put our old CRTs aside and move on. A reference monitor should be 100 percent reliable. It should be able to replace CRT. You should be able to calibrate it as you really want. It should represent colors as they really are. Actually, I have seen not a single LCD display that does exactly that, except for Barco's RHDM-2301. There is simply no alternative.
Video walls for backdrop applications. Barco's video wall displays for backdrop applications support 3200K color temperature to match with studio lighting. They provide excellent on-camera performance with full Gen-Lock capability and offer wide viewing angles for maximum camera flexibility. Barco's unique Sense-6 technology measures and adjusts the color and brightness to provide a constant uniformity. In the field Barco's interactive backdrop solution stimulates real-time interaction with viewers to provide its audience with an exceptional viewer experience, CNN-IBN, India's No.1 English news channel, chose to install a large-size backdrop display wall. After a few visits to broadcasting and media trade fairs and extensive research, CNN-IBN concluded that the quality and possibilities of Barco's interactive backdrop solution were beyond compare. Barco installed a backdrop wall of 6 x 3 50 inch modules at the studios, two controllers and a processor that provides the quality level, flexibility and reliability required for interactive use during a live, in-studio broadcast. So that CNN-IBN can be on top of its game in India's competitive broadcasting and media landscape. Multiviewer solutions. Barco's networked broadcast monitoring system is a networked multiviewer enabling operators to monitor their broadcast processes and visualize video content in real-time from anywhere in the facility. For smaller installations Barco also offers a 16-channel multi viewer that still delivers the full feature set for which Barco is renowned. In the field Barco's Networked Broadcast Monitoring System were deployed for the first time in Asia. In 2009 Barco partnered with Guangdong Television (GDTV) in launching its Networked Broadcast Monitoring System. Installation of the NBMS system at GDTV studios in Guangzhou, the capital city of China's southern Guangdong Province, represents its first deployment in Asia. With the installation of Barco NBMS, the GDTV master control room now operates the largest monitoring wall in China's broadcast industry. The system effectively utilizes 272 SDI/HD-SDI and 4 DVI inputs along with 16 DVI outputs to be displayed on Barco OV-715 70 inch SXGA+ DLP‚Ñ¢ projection modules.
Overall, NMBS enables GDTV production studios and master control rooms to be cost effectively networked together. The system improves on the ability to monitor the broadcast process and visualize real-time video content, both in the control room and remotely on PCs and other network-connected devices with user-friendly interfaces. |
