Joseph Lampert named managing director of Harris Corporation's Advertising Solutions Group

Harris Corporation, has named Joseph I. Lampert Managing Director of its Advertising Solutions Group (ASG) on September 10, 2009, which provides Enterprise Agency Suite (EAS) and RepLine software systems used by advertising service companies for sales management, media buying, production, and financial management. Based in New York, Lampert will be responsible for product development, sales, client services and support, and strategy and business development.

Lampert has experience in advertising industry business processes, automation of supporting business controls, with expertise in operations and productivity improvement, new business development and key account management. Throughout his career, Lampert has been involved in moving the industry to new business models, while enhancing operational and financial processes.

Lampert said that Harris holds the unique distinction of providing integrated enterprise systems for advertising management and he is energized by the opportunity to more fully expose the agency and rep communities to an organization with the vision, talent and commitment to deliver solutions that leverage the data analysis, workflow, and transaction management needs of an advertising supply chain responsible for a rapidly broadening array of evolving cross-media options.

Lampert was previously vice president of business development for Media Bank. He also owned OK Systems, an advertising consulting company, and was vice president of client services for Donovan Data Systems, a systems and software provider to the advertising industry.

Blackmagic Design announces new low price for Studio Videohub routers

Blackmagic Design had announced a new lower price on its popular Studio Videohub 3 Gb's SDI router with 16 x 32 SDI routing, 16 x 16 RS-422 deck control, full SDI re-clocking all in a compact design less than 1 inch thick on September 11, 2009.

Studio Videohub is adequate for small post production workgroups where people need to share a broadcast deck as well as system integrators who are building custom video facilities. Studio Videohub can also be used to compartmentalize sections of a facility from the main router such as a small graphic design group in a large broadcast facility. Studio Videohub is available now for USD 2,995 or Euro 2,095. Studio Videohub includes the same SDI re-clocking and 3 Gb/s SDI technology as the other Videohub family.

Grant Petty, CEO, Blackmagic Design said that they have designed the Videohub routers to eliminate complicated manual patching, while being affordable for everyone. He also added that now, with this new affordable price the Videohub family are routers that are designed to be easy to install. All connections are grouped together to include an SDI input, SDI output, deck control port, and SDI monitor output for each user. Videohub routers have twice as many SDI outputs as inputs, so each user can connect monitoring directly to the router. This lets people control their monitoring without affecting the input of their editing workstation. This is important when more than one person is working on a post production project and the client wants to switch monitoring to see the entire project being worked on. Videohub routers include easy to use control software applications that work on Mac OS X and Windows systems, and all control is provided via the local network, so no extra cabling is required when installing.
