Details of the Project : Pride East Entertainments, Guwahati invited us to set up a studio and broadcasting facilities for their 2 channel 'rang' aired from Guwahati. Pride East awarded the project to Essel Shyam from among leading Regional System Integration Companies because of its earlier working experience with Essel Shyam and especially the quality and after sales support we have offered to Pride East in establishing their news channel NEWS LIVE in the market.

Scope of work:

The scope of work for the project included setting up of the studio, PCR and MCR; layout, floor detailing, ceiling detailing and lighting support structure. It also included a studio support structure, pre-dispatch inspection of all the equipments and dispatch of equipments to Guwahati, India.

The scope of installation included studio preparation including design & development, layout, ceiling, lighting structure, platform construction for antennae etc, PCR setup, MCR setup and earthing. It was also required to do the preparation of equipment room by providing partition wall with dust-free doors, door closer, vinyl flooring, fixing of air-conditioners making IDU/ODU room, cabling - electrical, signals, video & audio and the LAN set up. It also included providing manpower support to the company.

Scope of Commissioning

This included commissioning of the studio, PCR, MCR and transmission system, integration and configuration of equipments, installation of computers/Servers with required software, imparting operational training and first level trouble shooting and supply, installation and integration of OB/DSNG Vans.

Scope of Handing Over

Essel Shyam had to establish the functionality of the studio, PCR, MCR and transmission system and also get the commissioning report signed by accepting the services.

After getting the approval, Essel Shyam set up a project team under the guidance of a project manager to execute the project. The project team discussed the various aspects of the project with different officials in Pride East and provided a solution for a studio layout, PCR, master control room, transmission and uplinking, supply of equipments, time schedule, network diagrams/drawings, installation, commissioning, and network management within the framework of the project.

The project was successfully completed in six months. The 24x7 Entertainment channel was officially launched in November'2009 using Pride East's teleport facility at Guwahati. Essel Shyam has also provided key support personnel for smooth transition of control from system integrator to the user. The studio is maintained and managed by Pride East with the support of Essel Shyam engineers for the last six months.
